
Above The Clouds
Above The Clouds is a 3D Platform Colectathon game inspired by the classics of the late 90's and early 2000's (think Spyro or Ratchet and Clank). The game sees the player traverse a strange world filled with all kinds of colorful characters including many enemies who will stop at nothing to prevent the player from reaching their goal all the while the player must collect the precious shards scattered through the world in order to advance to the next stage .
Above The Clouds takes place in a world dominated by a sun worshiping religion, but the church of the holy light who are the sole authority of this world heave been erecting pylons throughout the world to harvest the energy of the sun. However this has caused thick clouds to block out the sky, the player is tasked by the residents of the world to get to the bottom of this and bring back the sun by destroying the pylons
What were my roles on the Project?
Environment design -
creating the concepts for the various levels and taking them through the various stages of development from blockout to finished product
Art Liaison -
Working closely with the art department to keep a consistent stylistic tone throughout the assets and art being produced to match the intended vision for the game
Flex -
lending my support to my fellow team members and completing any outstanding tasks that remained on a week to week basis
QA Testing -
As the size of the team was small all testing had to be conducted in house i took responsibility for this task and created a bug report and went about fixing the detected faults
